Job summary

BT Group in London (UK) is seeking a Supportability Engineering Specialist for on-site work with DV security clearance. The role requires leading the SA programme, maintaining contract documentation, and coordinating with sub-contractors to meet ILS/SA requirements. Onsite five days a week, 9am-5pm, with eligibility for DV clearance after UK residency.

The role emphasizes collaboration, governance, and secure programme management across locations. London/Cheltenham base options are available.

Qualifications

• Significant working knowledge of supportability analysis
• Experience of writing technical ILS documentation for secure programmes
• Comply with BT Security Policy, Assurance and Compliance

Responsibilities

• Implementation of the SA Programme of work including the provision and maintenance of associated contractual documentation and programme plans.
• Ensuring timely completion of SA tasks, the provision and maintenance of SA reports
• Supporting and representing the BT ILSM at formal and ad-hoc review meetings
• Day-to-day liaison activities with sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure the flow-down of the contract ILS requirements and timely provision of ILS / SA products

Due to the sensitive nature of this role, you will be required to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/united-kingdom-security-vetting-clearance-levels/national-security-vetting-clearance-levels). An allowance of £5k per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role.

About the role

You are to have strong collaborative leadership skills to create, develop and maintain Managed Services; you need to be agile in approach in maintaining strong strategy, objectives, and goals in regard to the operational service lifecycle of technologies, locations, platforms and solutions using AIA/ASD S-Series Integrated Product Support (IPS) specifications, Def. Stan 00-600 and ITIL service operations model and skillsets in support of your senior manager.

This job role can be based in London or Cheltenham. Onsite (5 days office based). Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. You will need to be eligible to obtain DV Security Clearance before starting this role. You will need to have lived in the UK for 10+ years to be eligible.

What you’ll be doing

• Implementation of the SA Programme of work including the provision and maintenance of associated contractual documentation and programme plans. This programme of work including maintenance task analysis, support and test equipment requirements identification, software support, PHS&T analysis, disposal analysis, producing the maintenance plan


• Ensuring timely completion of SA tasks, the provision and maintenance of SA reports


• Supporting and representing the BT ILSM at formal and ad-hoc review meeting


• Day-to-day liaison activities with sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure the flow-down of the contract ILS requirements and timely provision of ILS / SA products

Essential Skills / Experience

• Working knowledge of at least one of the following standards: AIA/ASD S-Series Integrated Product Support (IPS) specifications and/or Def Stan 00-600, Def Stan 00-60, S-Series ILS specifications - MANDATORY


• Significant working knowledge of supportability analysis


• Experience of writing technical ILS documentation for secure programmes
