Support Workers, Railway Court, Omagh, Co. Tyrone Apex Housing Association

Railway Court is a supported living accommodation giving support and care for up to 23 tenants with mild to moderate learning disabilities. It is situated centrally within Omagh. Railway Court provides 24-hour staff support services, 365 days a year supporting tenants to develop skills and get involved in day-to-day decision making.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. QCF/NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent and 6 months experience in a formal care/support role and previous experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities/mental health issues. Must be currently registered with NISCC or if new to the sector must achieve registration within 6 months.
  2. Or 2 years’ experience in a formal care/support role and previous experience of working with individuals with Learning Disabilities/Mental Health issues. Must be currently registered with NISCC or if new to the sector must achieve registration within 6 months.
  3. Must be willing to work towards the completion of relevant qualification. Formal Care/Support may include caring at home, where the carer is in receipt of Carers’ Allowance. Formal Care/Support may also include voluntary work in a formal setting.
