Care Support Worker

The person you will support is looking for an individual who is reliable and motivated. The ideal candidate would be bubbly and outgoing with a can-do attitude, to provide support for the individual and promote his daily living alongside another team member on a 2 to 1 basis.

The person you will be supporting lives within a family property that has ample space and is designed with his needs in mind. The property even features a hydro pool to assist with rehabilitation!

The client has complex care needs and brain injury resulting from an accident. He is looking for someone to support him in daily activities, therapies, and with daily care needs. He enjoys music, swimming, chatting, and football. He is enthusiastic and has a good sense of humor. Support will involve assisting with all daily living goals and care tailored to his needs, while ensuring his dignity, safety, and well-being are maintained.

He requires full assistance with personal care/hygiene, safety, well-being, and maintaining a healthy, balanced diet.

Assistance with medication administration is also required.

You will need to write detailed notes on his daily activities, care, and healthcare input.

Previous experience working in care and with complex needs or brain injury is desirable, but full training and support will be provided.

The successful candidate will work alongside the support team on a 6-week rolling rota.

Hours: 28 hours per week, with a 6-week rolling rota including rest periods.

Rates: Weekday & Night rate £12.50 per hour; Bank Holiday rate at time and a half.

An enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required due to the nature of the role.

Must hold a full, clean driving license for insurance purposes.

Experience or knowledge of behaviors that may challenge is desirable.
