Support Worker Job Description

CTS Recruitment is sourcing Support Workers in North London, Hertfordshire, and Essex on behalf of a client. Our client operates supported living services across England, Wales, and Scotland, providing innovative, creative support to enable people with mental health problems, autism, and learning disabilities to live fulfilling lives and access opportunities.

Main Duties of Support Workers include:

  1. Providing support and encouragement to Service Users in all areas of daily living.
  2. Maintaining the respect, dignity, and privacy rights of Service Users.
  3. Contributing to the assessment of Service Users’ needs and developing individual care and support plans in consultation with service users, their families, and the Care Team.
  4. Supporting with budget planning and record-keeping.
  5. Collaborating with the care and support team to deliver high standards of service and achieve planned goals.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of NVQ 2/3 in Care or an equivalent care qualification (desirable).
  • Experience in a care and support setting.
  • Understanding of the needs of the Service User group.
  • Specific service-related experience may be required.
