Job summary

Ballyoan House is a supported living accommodation providing care and support for 16 adults with mental health issues. Ballyoan House offers 24-hour staff support services, 365 days a year, supporting tenants to develop skills and participate in daily decision-making.

Qualifications: QCF/NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, and
6 months experience in a formal care/support role* with previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities or mental health issues.

Must be currently registered with NISCC or, if new to the sector, must achieve registration within 6 months.

Alternatively, 2 years’ experience in a formal care/support role* with previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities or mental health issues.

Must be currently registered with NISCC or, if new to the sector, must achieve registration within 6 months.

Must be willing to work towards completing relevant qualifications.

*Formal Care / Support may include caring at home, where the carer receives Carers’ Allowance, or voluntary work in a formal setting.
