Alternative Futures Group (AFG) is seeking compassionate individuals to join as Support Workers. You’ll support people to achieve their goals and live as independently as possible, in their own homes, community settings, or care homes.

No prior care experience is required; we’re seeking friendly, patient and enthusiastic people who can work independently or as part of a team, with flexible shifts including days, nights, sleep-ins and weekends.

About the Role

As a Support Worker at AFG, you'll support people to achieve their goals and live as independently as possible.

This could be in:
  • People's own homes
  • Community-based services
  • Adult Care Homes or Independent Hospitals

Every person we support has a personalised plan focused on their needs and aspirations.

You don't need experience - just the right attitude. We're looking for people who are:

  • Friendly and confident communicators
  • Patient, caring and enthusiastic
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible to work a range of shifts including day shifts, waking nights, sleep ins and weekends

Our Support Workers work in a variety of settings including community-based services (often supporting people in their own homes) to our Independent Hospitals or Adult Care Homes.

One thing that is common across all of our services is a focus on personalised support and tailoring our services to the needs and aspirations of the people we support with a diverse range of care needs (including Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health Concerns, Complex Care, Substance Misuse issues to name a few).
