About The RoleRole: - Support Worker - York. Pay Rates: - £13.68 - £15.69 per hour (including holiday pay). Pay Rates (not including holiday pay): - £12.21 - £14 per hour. Location: - York. Shifts: - Days and Nights and Sleep Shifts. Are you a Health Care Assistant and you would like to have some flexibility in your shifts? Or are you looking for extra hours? Responsibilities

• Assist Support adults with daily living tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care.
• Encourage independence by helping individuals make choices and develop life skills.
• Assist with attending appointments, activities, and community events.
• Respond calmly and professionally to challenging behaviour, using de-escalation techniques and following behaviour support plans.
• Monitor and promote physical and emotional well-being, reporting any concerns to senior staff.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the care team and families.

Requirements

• 2 satisfactory, professional references
• Right to work in the UK
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a Health care Assistant
• PMVA and MAPA training (desirable)
• Hourly Pay from £12.21 - £14.00 plus Holiday Pay
