Location: Dorchester Road, Weymouth

  • £12.19 - £12.41 per hour (days)
  • £38.20 per sleep-in
  • Sleep-in nights required
  • 30.5-hour average contract available
  • Fixed work patterns
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle is required
  • Alternating weekends

About The Role

This role will be part of a team supporting Adults with a Learning Disability and/or Autism who are living in the community. Our Supported Living service in Weymouth offers accommodation and support 24 hours a day 365 days a year. This role will be a full-time position with the requirement to support with sleep-in night shifts.

There are four people living in the service aged between 18-25. Our role is to support them with a variety of hobbies and interests that they enjoy ranging from arts and crafts, cooking, swimming, shopping, watching sports and socialising with family and friends. We will also be helping them in looking not just at employment opportunities but also furthering their independent living.

About You

Previous experience as a Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not essential as training and ongoing support will be provided.

  • A compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to help others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Full driving license and access to own vehicle for work purposes is required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
