Watford MENCAP is an organisation based in Watford, committed to providing high-quality social care and support to people with learning disabilities and their families. We are passionate about enabling people with learning disabilities and their families to make the most of life, enjoy choice and control over their own lives, and fulfill their ambitions.

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Support Worker at Thorpedale, our residential home in Chorleywood. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the people we support, their families and friends, as well as other social and health care professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. You will assist the Manager in supporting a range of people with learning disabilities to maintain standards set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Hertfordshire County Council (HCC).
  2. The role is varied and involves acting as a Key Worker for individual clients. You will support clients to plan and achieve their goals, review and implement support plans, support clients to attend reviews, liaise with professionals, and help individuals manage their money. The role requires a flexible 'can-do' attitude, good IT skills, attention to detail, emotional resilience, and the ability to manage a diverse workload. In return, you will find this an extremely rewarding job making a real difference in people's lives daily.
