A community support organization in Carlisle is seeking a dynamic individual to provide person-centred support to people with learning disabilities. The role involves developing care plans, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring the dignity of service users. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and a proactive attitude. Training, including the Care Certificate, is mandatory. This position offers an opportunity for career progression in Adult Social Care.

You will work in partnership with individuals to enable them to take active control over their lives and make progress toward their personal goals. You will work in an anti-discriminatory manner, ensuring that the rights and entitlements of the Service Users are respected at all times. You will promote self-esteem, independence and social inclusion. The successful applicant will be able to think on their feet, work under their own initiative at times and respond to situations with a proactive attitude.
It is mandatory to undertake a range of training specific to the position including the Care Certificate. You may be given the opportunity to progress onto RQF Level 2 diploma in Adult Social Care.
