Overview

Role: Support Worker - Wakefield

Location: Wakefield

Shifts: Days and Nights and Sleep Shifts

Pay: £13.68 - £15.69 per hour (including holiday pay); excluding holiday pay: £12.21 - £14 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Assist Support adults with daily living tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care.
  • Encourage independence by helping individuals make choices and develop life skills.
  • Assist with attending appointments, activities, and community events.
  • Respond calmly and professionally to challenging behaviour, using de-escalation techniques and following behaviour support plans.
  • Monitor and promote physical and emotional well-being, reporting any concerns to senior staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the care team and families.
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a Health care Assistant
  • PMVA and MAPA training (desirable)
