Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our team in Doncaster.

As a Support Worker, you'll make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities, assisting with daily activities and providing emotional support. You will support a gentleman with a learning disability with tasks such as washing, cleaning, cooking, personal care, attending appointments, and developing relationships and life skills.

Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental health concerns, anxieties, or autism is essential, but all relevant training will be provided. You need to be able to follow, create, and update detailed support plans to ensure personalized care.

What we're looking for:

  • A genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Drivers with access to their own vehicle are preferred but not essential.

Contract options:

  • Part-time: flexible hours based on availability.

Shift times:

Our services are 24-hour care. Shifts are scheduled at least 6 weeks in advance. Typical shifts include:

  • Days: -, -, -
  • Sleep-in: - (sleep in a private bedroom)

Sleep-in shifts include an enhanced flat rate payment of £62.45.
