Job Description:

Support Worker - Marshfield, Cardiff - Hourly Rate £11.60 to £12.50 - Full Time (40.25 hours per week)

The Old Vicarage provides a warm and welcoming home for up to 10 adults aged 18 and above. Nestled in the tranquil rural setting of Marshfield near Newport, our residence offers a spacious and comfortable environment. Each room features an en-suite bathroom, and our residents have access to large communal areas, laundry facilities, and well-equipped kitchens. Outside, our beautifully maintained gardens provide plenty of outdoor space for relaxation and enjoyment.

Responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive environment;
  • Supporting recreational activities, outings, and community integration;
  • Promoting independence, self-esteem, and celebrating achievements;
  • Tailoring support to individual needs;
  • Keeping accurate records of activities, progress, and incidents.
Ideal candidates will have:
  • A compassionate and caring nature with a desire to make a positive impact;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Resilience and patience, adaptable to individual needs;
  • Willingness to learn and follow team guidance;
  • Basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication;
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and occasional nights;
  • Driving license is advantageous but not essential.

Note: This role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
