Job Description:

Support Worker, The Manse, Lower Freystop. £11.60 to £11.80 dependent upon experience.

Full Time: 38 hours per week

Orbis Education & Care provides specialist care and education services for children and adults with complex needs associated with autism. We focus on a person-centred approach, emphasizing personal strengths, interests, and aspirations to empower individuals to lead active, socially valued, and fulfilling lives.

Located in the small friendly village of Freystop, on the outskirts of Haverfordwest in Pembrokeshire, The Manse is a spacious home for up to 5 adults aged 18 and above.

A day in the life at The Manse includes:
  • Meeting physical and emotional needs through a supportive environment;
  • Supporting recreational activities, outings, and community integration;
  • Promoting independence, self-esteem, and celebrating achievements;
  • Working together to tailor support to individual needs;
  • Maintaining accurate records of activities, progress, and incidents.
We are looking for people who:
  • Have a compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact;
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Are resilient and patient, able to adapt to individual needs;
  • Are willing to learn and follow team guidance;
  • Have basic IT skills for record keeping and communication;
  • Are flexible to work shifts, including weekends and occasional nights.

Please note: This role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
