Partners in Support is recruiting for Support Workers to join a newly expanding team in Harpenden. The role focuses on providing emotional and practical support to adults with learning disabilities and autism, helping them live their lives with dignity and independence.

All applicants will receive full training; roles are permanent, full-time or part-time, and shifts include early, late, and night patterns.

About the role

As a Support Worker, you’ll provide emotional and practical support to adults with learning disabilities and autism, helping them to live life their way.

You’ll support people to build confidence, develop independence, learn new skills, access their community by taking part in activities, and do the things that matter most to them. No two days are the same, so if you enjoy variety and want a rewarding role where you can make a real difference, this could be the perfect opportunity.

We’re committed to supporting our colleagues through regular check‑ins, supervision, training, and ongoing communication, so you’ll feel supported both personally and professionally.

No previous social care experience is required, as full training will be provided.

The shift patterns are (approximately, subject to change): 7.15am to 2.45pm, 2.30 to 10pm, 10pm to 7.15am. We need you to be as flexible as possible to cover these shifts within a small team, all dedicated to one person. If you are employed full‑time, you will work 5 shifts over 7 days.

What we're looking for

• Confidence to remain calm in difficult situations
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep‑ins on a rota
• Full UK manual driving licence preferred
