We are currently looking to expand our team of dedicated support workers based in Tamworth.

We are looking for someone to join us on a permanent, part-time basis (30 hours a week). Shifts will be spread across mornings, afternoons, evenings, sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays.

The individuals you will be supporting love to be out and about in the community, taking part in hobbies they enjoy. They enjoy activities such as eating out, going to the cinema, shopping, and attending discos – who doesn’t love a boogie?

General shift patterns are 7am - 4pm, 4pm - 10pm.

What does a Support Worker do?

At our service in Tamworth, you will be supporting a unique group of 8 people who have a learning disability and complex needs.

As a Support Worker, you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will contribute enormously to the people we support, helping them live a more comfortable, dignified, and happy life.

  • Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day and assisting with bathing, showering, and using the bathroom.
  • Supporting people to live independently – managing budgets, paying bills, housework, organizing appointments, and cooking healthy meals.
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship building – supporting individuals to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
  • Community & Social Inclusion – supporting individuals to access and participate in local community and social events to promote life skills and individuality.

We provide 24-hour support to a gentleman with a learning disability and autism, in a supported living service, to help him live independently in his own home.
