Job description

Carroll Close is a supported living service supporting two individuals in their homes. The service is a house that has been converted into two flats.

The people we support have their own access to the property. Both individuals have very complex needs and as a Support Worker, you will need to be able to follow a clear, structured support plan.

You will encourage positive self-image, maintain health and wellbeing, assist with decision-making and promote independence.

Supporting people to develop and maintain contact with family and friends, you will assist to provide access to the community, enabling the people we support to participate in sports clubs, social events and creative endeavours. Driving Licence is desirable but not essential for this role.

Shift patterns are: 08.00 –15.30, 15.30 – 23.00, (upstairs)

Sleep ins.

We are predominantly recruiting for the downstairs hours, but there may be some shifts that become available for upstairs.

The successful Support Worker will:

  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Have knowledge of Autism.
  • Have a caring manner and a tolerant nature.
  • Be empathic
  • Be able to work as part of a team and all work in the same way, to provide continuity.
  • Be an enthusiastic and energetic member of the team.
