Job summary

Making Space in Wigan is seeking a Support Worker to help adults in Supported Living live independently and with dignity. You will support with daily activities, medication administration, and community involvement, within a person‑centred approach.

No prior industry experience is required; we offer on‑the‑job training and the chance to pursue qualifications in Health and Social Care as you develop your career with us.

We have an opportunity available for a Support Worker to join the team at Brook Street based in Wigan, WN2 2DD.

Salary: £13.12 per hour

Hours: 38 weekly (sleep in shifts are required, paid at a rate of £50 per sleep)

Responsibilities

Look no further than working with us here at Making Space! As a Support Worker in Supported Living you'll be supporting adults on a person-centered basis to live independently, helping them move towards independent accommodation.

From medication assistance to accessing the community and domestic tasks, your days will be varied, and no two days will be the same. That's why we're looking for someone who can think on their feet and truly understand our clients' needs with a big smile that lights up our service users' faces.

We're not too concerned about qualifications for this role; we're more interested in your values and how you build relationships with our service users and fellow colleagues. Qualifications

It’s important to note that you do not need prior industry experience or any specific qualifications to be considered for this role. On joining Making Space you will be supported step by step with on-the-job training as well as the opportunity to undertake professional qualifications if desired and required for your role.
