At Avon Support Ltd, we are currently recruiting support workers to join our growing friendly team for our supported living services.

In our supported living services, you will encourage the people we support to make their own choices and live as independently as possible, providing companionship and encouragement and taking care of their wellbeing. As a support worker, you will assist with preparing healthy meals, household duties, such as laundry and cleaning, plus shopping and getting ready for the day ahead. You will also support with dressing, bathing, and toileting.

Support Worker Role and Responsibilities
  • Previous experience in a support worker role is desirable, but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in organizing and facilitating group activities.
  • Knowledge of inclusive and accessible community resources.
  • Flexibility for sleeps/weekends/evening shifts.
  • Providing companionship and offering encouragement.
  • Household tasks, meal preparation, and shopping.
  • Monitoring any health conditions, assisting with medication, and attending appointments with healthcare professionals.
  • Ensuring safety and wellbeing and reporting any concerns.
  • Collaborating with families and other care professionals.
