Job summary

Making Space Charity in Burnley is recruiting a Recovery Support Worker for the Inspiring Minds Lancashire Service. You will help adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities and autism move toward independent living and accommodation.

You will support with daily living tasks, medication management and community access, in a person-centred approach. The role requires 35 hours per week with varied shifts, including some weekends.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a minimum Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in Health and Social Care.
  • Patience and a sense of humour are key qualities for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Support tenants to live independently and work towards independent accommodation.
  • Assist with medications and access to the community and domestic tasks as required.
  • Build relationships with service users and colleagues to enable personalised care and recovery.

Job description

We have an opportunity available for a Recovery Support Worker to join our Lancashire Supported Living Rehabilitation Service, Inspiring Minds, based in Burnley, BB11 1UG.

The service contains 9 beds and will provide intermediate short term functional rehabilitation support to adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities and individuals on the autistic spectrum and is designed to be a personalised, interactive and collaborative process, reflecting the whole person. The service enables individuals to maximise their potential to live a full and active life within their family, social networks, education/training and the workplace where appropriate, in the context of their mental health and promote recovery.

Salary £13.12 per hour

Hours 35 weekly working various shifts between 8am-10pm, including some weekends

Candidates must hold a minimum Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care, or an equivalent recognised qualification. Alongside at least one years relevant experience working within a Health and Social Care setting.
