We are keen to hear from people who would be interested in joining our team on either a Full Time or Part Time contract, working with adults with complex and enhanced support needs in a purpose-built service in Hebburn.
A strong value base is at the heart of all our services; therefore, we would expect you to be able to demonstrate your own strengths, qualities and passion in delivering person centred care that is innovative, positive, and empowering for the people we support.
It will at times be a challenging environment; therefore, resilience and patience will be important too. About the Service
The service in Jarrow provides support to eight adults both male and female who live with a mix of learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and emotional and mental health conditions, and who all require positive behaviour support. Each person will have their own self-contained purpose-built bungalow. There is also separate on-site staff facilities. You will join the team helping the eight individuals to transition into their new homes and on their journey to living as independently as possible.
Due to the needs of the individuals, each person will be supported at minimum on a 1-1 basis through the day and in some cases additional 2-1, along with access to a shared waking night and sleep over staff at night. For this reason, a degree of flexibility and being able to work as part of a rolling rota with the wider team is essential in order to ensure that the needs of the people we support are met consistently and without disruption.
To be considered for this role we would ask for a minimum 6-month experience working in a similar role. To reflect this experience and complexity of the service, we are paying support workers an exceptionally competitive enhanced rate.
