Job description

Hourly Rate : Day shifts and waking nights £[amount] per hour Mondays-Saturdays, and £[amount] per hour on Sundays.

Hours Per Week : Full time or Part time waking nights available - shifts are 9:30 pm - 9:30 am; all shifts to be rota’d to include weekdays and weekends.

ABOUT THE ROLE

I am a young man with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, and severe epilepsy.

I live at home with my family in the Newark area of Nottinghamshire.

I am looking for caring individuals to join my current team, supporting me with my care needs throughout the day and night.

You will be required to assist me with all aspects of personal care, including PEG feeding, PEG care, administering medication, moving & handling (including all transfers), ventilation, and suction when needed.

ABOUT YOU

You need to be : enthusiastic, patient, experienced in supporting individuals with a learning disability, possess strong communication skills, have a caring nature, trustworthy, respectful, able to take direction, and genuinely committed to the role.

I need 2 : support 24/7. My Mum will support employees informally if required.

It is really important that we get on well, as companionship is a key element of this role.

Experience working with someone with complex needs and supporting them in their own home is desirable but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.

Flexibility in working hours is important to meet my needs, including covering weekends, bank holidays, staff holidays, and sickness as required.
