Job summary

Making Space Charity in Lincoln is seeking a thoughtful Support Worker to join Swallow Lodge, LN6 8UZ, providing compassionate care to service users with learning disabilities and complex needs. The role includes personal care, daily living support, and helping create a warm, respectful environment.

We offer on‑the‑job training and opportunities to gain qualifications. 35 hours per week, shifts across 7.30am–9.30pm, with 2 in 3 weekends.

Qualifications

  • No prior industry experience required; on-the-job training provided.
  • Personal values aligned with Making Space.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily living tasks.
  • Administer medication as required and support with domestic tasks.
  • Deliver tailored support to meet each service user’s needs.

Job description

We have an opportunity available for a Support Worker to join the team at Swallow Lodge based in Lincoln, LN6 8UZ.

Salary: £13.12 per hour

Hours: 35 hours weekly working various shifts between 7.30am-9.30pm. 3/4 days per week including working 2 in 3 weekends

Responsibilities

As a Support Worker, you will have the incredible opportunity to embody our core values of kind hearts, tailor-making, dreaming big, having courage, and being ready. Your role will involve providing exceptional care and unwavering support to service users, particularly those with learning disabilities, complex needs, and behaviour that challenges.

You will provide personal care, administer medication and assist with domestic tasks. With your kind and compassionate heart, you will create an environment of warmth and care that will make service users feel seen and valued.

As a tailor-made supporter, you will have the opportunity to adjust your approach to each individual’s unique needs, ensuring they receive the highest level of care possible. With courage in your heart, you will tackle any challenges that may arise with unwavering determination, knowing that your presence alone brings comfort to those who need it most.

Qualifications

It’s important to note that you do not need prior industry experience or any specific qualifications to be considered for this role. On joining Making Space you will be supported step by step with on-the-job training as well as the opportunity to undertake professional qualifications if desired and required for your role.
