Job Opportunity: Residential Support Worker
Location: Hatfield
Salary: £11.50 - £13 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, includes 24-hour shift pattern, weekends, and bank holidays

We are seeking a compassionate Residential Support Worker for a residential service dedicated to supporting young children. This role focuses on providing a safe, supportive, and structured environment to help families reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Partner with team members and external professionals to guide young people towards their placement goals.
  2. Record and monitor progress, supporting young people with practical life skills.
  3. Encourage positive behaviours and maintain a safe environment.
  4. Provide transportation for appointments.
  5. Maintain professional boundaries while promoting constructive relationships within the service.

Ideal Candidate:

  1. Skills: Strong communication, resilience, flexibility, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
  2. Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work toward this).
  3. Experience: Prior experience with vulnerable children/young people.
  4. Availability: Must be willing to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  5. Driving Licence: Essential (business insurance on vehicle required).
