A caring individual is sought to provide personal support for a lady recovering from a brain injury. The role includes assisting with daily activities, medication prompts, and promoting independence. A valid driver's license and calm demeanor are essential.
I am a 45-year-old lady recovering from a Traumatic Brain Injury. I have experienced seizures in the past but have not had one recently. I sometimes struggle with memory and need prompts to help me remember things. I have two cats and a dog. When outside, I use a walker. I used to be very active, spending my days with 8 horses, kayaking, and swimming. I would love to return to swimming someday.
I may lose my balance when standing and need support during personal care, including standby assistance in case I fall. I may also ask for help reaching items. I require prompting to take my medication. Support with shopping, food preparation (especially turning the oven on/off), and laundry is needed. I can do most housework but sometimes struggle with my hands. Assistance with taking my dog to the groomers and managing bills is also desired. Most importantly, I seek support to go out and about to promote my independence.
