1. JOB ROLE: Support Worker
2. HOURS: 35 hours per week
3. LOCATION: Penzance, Cornwall TR18
4. SALARY: £12.60 - £13.30* per hour

About Us

Our specialist Supported Living and Outreach service in Penzance provides support for people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs, and Acquired Brain Injuries. We collaborate with local health professionals such as social workers, nurses, and specialists to support person-centred planning, involving individuals in creating plans that reflect how they want to live now and in the future, using communication tools to ensure their involvement.

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day-to-day support and routines of the people within the service, including:

• Promoting independence and helping clients live fulfilling lives
• Supporting personal development through hobbies and interests
• Maintaining health care needs, including accompanying clients to appointments or administering medication
• Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills, and shopping
• Assisting with personal care (depending on the service user)
• Supporting domestic tasks like cleaning and cooking
