At Curo, we believe in second chances and fresh starts. As our Support Worker in Temporary Accommodation Services, you'll be the friendly face and trusted advocate for people experiencing housing crises, helping them transition quickly to permanent homes.

This role involves working at our Dartmouth Avenue site, supporting residents who stay in temporary accommodation from a few weeks to several years. You will assist with budgeting, finances, and navigating the pathway to permanent housing, dedicating meaningful time with each resident weekly.

Your personable approach and practical support will make a genuine difference during challenging times in someone's life.

Responsibilities
  • Build trusting relationships with residents, providing regular support
  • Create and implement practical support plans focused on budgeting, finance management, and moving on
  • Advocate for residents, liaising with agencies and services
  • Complete risk assessments and support plans tailored to individual needs
  • Assist residents with practical issues and housing-related matters
  • Contribute to the effective running of the temporary accommodation service as part of a supportive team
