An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join their compassionate team. This role is not just about tasks; it's about building meaningful relationships and supporting individuals with learning disabilities to live more independent and fulfilling lives. You will play a crucial role in developing personalized support plans and ensuring that each service user receives the care they deserve. With ongoing training opportunities and a supportive environment grounded in Christian values, this position offers both purpose and personal growth. If you have a caring heart and a desire to make a difference, this is the opportunity for you.
At CrossReach, caring isn’t just what we do – it’s who we are. We’re here to walk alongside people with learning disabilities, helping them live with greater independence, confidence, and joy. And now, we’re looking for someone just like you to join our team.
As a Support Worker, you won’t just be making cups of tea or doing the odd bit of shopping (though there’ll be some of that too!) – you’ll be building real, lasting relationships. You’ll be someone our service users can trust, rely on, and share life with. Your role will involve helping someone attend college courses, supporting them through daily routines, and more—making it as varied as it is rewarding.
You’ll be part of a close-knit team but also confident enough to work independently when needed. You’ll take the lead as a key worker, develop personalized support plans, and ensure each individual receives compassionate, practical care.
Who we’re looking for:
You’re calm, caring, and great with people. Whether you’re experienced in care or looking to start your journey, what matters most is your heart for helping others. A driver’s license would be a plus, as many of our service users enjoy outings.
What’s in it for you?
You’ll need to be a member of the PVG Scheme and registered (or eligible to register) with the SSSC. Most importantly, you should treat every person with dignity and respect.
