Job Description:

No experience is needed, but an essential requirement is that the candidate must be able to drive an automatic vehicle.

I am a 24-year-old male seeking a support worker/personal assistant to help me socially access the community due to my physical disability. I use a wheelchair because of a spinal injury. I do not have mental or learning impairments, but my disability limits hand use, requiring assistance with daily tasks.

The role involves providing assistance with leisure activities and appointments. No specific care or nursing experience is necessary; a sociable person willing to learn is preferred. It is important that the candidate has a proactive personality to motivate me to be active and help me reach my goals.

Assistance may include emptying a catheter bag and helping with toileting.

Working Hours / Pay Rate

Part-time, 6 hours per week at £14.50 per hour.

Hours are flexible and likely split over two days, with potential for increase over time.

Driving an automatic vehicle is an essential requirement.

Training will be provided on the job.

Additional Information

Salary paid monthly. The successful candidate will undergo a three-month trial period. An enhanced DBS check is required at no cost to the applicant.
