Job summary

Oasis Charitable Trust is seeking a full-time Support Worker for its Young People's Supported Housing Service in Gateshead. This role involves providing trauma-informed, holistic support to vulnerable young individuals in a 24-hour supported housing environment. Ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of the needs of young people from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

  • Experience in supported housing services or similar roles is beneficial.
  • Understanding of Ofsted regulations is preferred.

Starting Salary: £27,846 per annum plus additional £737 anti-social allowance per annum.

Hours: Full time – Average of 42 hours per week over an 8 week rolling rota period: hours Monday-Sunday, in accordance with rota. Anti-social working; evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays

Job Purpose:

To support the delivery of Oasis Community Housing’s Young People’s Supported Housing Service (Ofsted Registered). The service operates two 24-hour staffed supported housing projects, one for children and young people aged 16-17 with medium needs, and one for those aged 16-21 with complex needs. Both projects will operate throughout the night, with waking Support Workers available on site to ensure the safety, security and support of residents. To provide trauma informed, holistic, personalised support to children and young people. Under the guidance of the Team Leader and Registered Service Manager, to ensure the service is compliant with the Supported Accommodation Regulations and we maintain successful Ofsted registration for these projects.
