MPA Recruitment is now hiring Nightshift Support Workers (Level 2) for a well-established supported living service in Newtownabbey. This is a vital role supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs — with a focus on calm, compassionate, overnight care.

Whether you're experienced in care or just deeply motivated to make a difference, this opportunity allows you to work within a supportive and person-centred team, where every night shift brings meaningful impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide consistent, high-quality overnight support in line with person-centred care and support plans
  • Support individuals with emotional well-being, physical health, and safe overnight routines
  • Respond to behavioural needs with empathy, structure, and appropriate support techniques
  • Encourage independence while supporting with domestic tasks, bedtime routines, and morning preparations
  • Record accurate and timely updates during shifts, ensuring smooth handovers
  • Support residents to attend medical appointments or access community resources if required overnight

What You’ll Bring

  • A genuine passion for person-centred care, dignity, and inclusion
  • The ability to remain calm, responsive, and professional during night hours
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility to work on a rota basis, including weekends and public holidays

Essential Criteria

  • At least 6 months’ experience in a care/support role (paid or voluntary)
  • NISCC registration (or willingness to register upon appointment)
  • Availability to work waking night shifts
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (reasonable adjustments considered)

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 2 or above in Health & Social Care (or currently working toward)
  • Experience in Positive Behaviour Support or working with individuals with complex needs

What’s In It for You?

  • A structured and supportive team environment
  • Full training provided (including Positive Behaviour Support and safeguarding)
  • Regular supervision and opportunities for development
  • The chance to make a meaningful difference every single shift

This role would suit someone who thrives in a consistent, person-focused setting and wants to be part of a team that supports people to live with dignity, independence, and respect.
