Job summary

Autism Pathways in Hawarden, North Wales, is hiring a Night Support Care Worker to join a brand-new residential service. You'll help ensure safety, comfort, and wellbeing during overnight hours, providing calm, consistent support in a structured setting.

You’ll monitor residents, assist with bedtime routines, respond to incidents, maintain records, and collaborate with day staff. We welcome empathetic, reliable individuals willing to train toward a Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care; night

Qualifications

• Empathetic, patient, and calm during night hours.
• Flexible to work night shifts, including weekends.
• Willing to undertake Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Experience in autism/learning disabilities desirable but not essential.
• Strong observation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents overnight to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Assist with bedtime routines and overnight care needs.
• Respond to incidents or emergencies with professionalism.
• Promote a calm and reassuring atmosphere.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to care plans.

• Salary: £14.26 per hour
• Hours: 35 hours per week
• Shifts: 10pm-8am

The Role: What You'll Be Doing

As a Night Support Care Worker, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of individuals during overnight hours. You'll provide calm, consistent support while maintaining a peaceful and secure environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring individuals throughout the night to ensure their safety and wellbeing
• Supporting with bedtime routines and overnight care needs
• Responding to any incidents or emergencies with professionalism and sensitivity
• Promoting a calm and reassuring atmosphere
• Maintaining accurate records and contributing to care plans
• Ensuring the environment remains clean, safe, and secure
• Collaborating with day staff to ensure continuity of care

You'll be working in a highly structured setting with tailored support plans and purpose-built apartments designed for both safety and independence.
