Support Worker – Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub

We are seeking a dynamic and resourceful individual to join our dedicated team as a Support Worker – Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub MASH, based in the vibrant area of Barkingside.

This full-time, permanent role in the Children and Families Team at the Early Intervention department offers a harmonious blend of professional challenge and personal fulfillment. What you will do:

  • Work in partnership with the Early Intervention & Family Support Service Manager and team to ensure effective communication and delivery of services.
  • Collaborate with staff to deliver a range of services to families, children, and young people.
  • Provide cover for absent colleagues to maintain seamless service delivery.
  • Manage an individual caseload, maintaining high standards of childcare practice.
  • Contribute to client care plans as appropriate.
  • Make timely and appropriate referrals to the Child Protection team in line with procedures.
  • Prepare and present reports for a variety of audiences including case conferences, core group meetings, court hearings, and care plan meetings.
  • Participate actively in referral meetings, reviews, case discussions, and other relevant professional meetings; organise, chair, and take minutes when required.
  • Ensure service users fully understand processes and procedures.
  • Complete and maintain family files and relevant paperwork to a high standard, adhering to departmental procedures.
  • Work in partnership with families, monitoring needs through accurate record-keeping, care planning, and case recording.
  • Collaborate effectively with other professionals involved in the care and support of families.
  • Demonstrate professional and sensitive approaches when dealing with parents and carers, serving as a positive role model.
  • Keep up to date with and implement relevant legislation and procedures related to service delivery.
  • Support the Early Intervention & Family Support Team in ensuring services comply with Ofsted minimum standards.
  • Promote and encourage diversity and a multicultural ethos throughout all aspects of the service.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed within areas of responsibility, including lone working protocols.
  • Undertake any other duties as required by the post.
