Job summary

MPA Recruitment in Limavady seeks compassionate Support Workers to join Mullagh House on a temporary ongoing basis, delivering person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs.

You will help develop independent living skills, promote social inclusion, and maintain records in line with care standards, with flexible working and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have either Level 2 Health and Social Care or be willing to obtain it.
• Experience in a formal care or support role is required (6 months or 2 years depending on option).
• Must have experience with learning disabilities or mental health needs and be willing to register with NISCC.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support tailored to individual needs and care plans.
• Promote independence with daily living skills, personal care and domestic tasks, where required.
• Encourage social inclusion, community participation and meaningful activities.
• Monitor and report changes in health, wellbeing or behaviour.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and other professionals.
• Ensure support is delivered in line with relevant care standards and policies.

MPA Recruitment is seeking compassionate, dedicated and motivated Support Workers to join our team at Mullagh House, Limavady, on a temporary ongoing basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support tailored to individual needs and care plans.
• Promote independence with daily living skills, personal care and domestic tasks, where required.

• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and other professionals.
• Ensure support is delivered in line with relevant care standards and policies.

Essential Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following:

Option 1

• QCF/NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent.
• At least six months' experience in a formal care or support role.

OR

Option 2

• At least two years' experience in a formal care or support role.
• Willingness to work towards a relevant Health and Social Care qualification.

All applicants must also have experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs, previous administrative experience, and current NISCC registration or a willingness to register within six months. An Enhanced AccessNI check will be required.
