Job summary

Search Consultancy LTD is recruiting Support Workers for a mental health supported living service in Bury, offering step-down accommodation for individuals moving on from prison or long-term hospital stays.

You will help residents develop independent living skills and attend health, probation and external agency appointments, while following care plans and risk assessments to support community reintegration and independence.

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health or supported living settings.
• Ability to follow care plans and risk assessments.
• Reliable, resilient, compassionate and confident with complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Support residents to develop independent living skills, including cooking, shopping, budgeting and household tasks.
• Support attendance at health, probation and external agency appointments.
• Work in line with individual care plans and risk assessments.
• Support community reintegration and encourage independence.
• Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records and report concerns appropriately.
• Work closely with colleagues and external professionals to provide consistent support.
