About the Role

Role: Mental Health Support Worker

Location: St Stephens

Pay: from £13.97 to £16.69 depending on shift and role

In this role, you will provide vital support to children or adults experiencing mental health challenges, helping them navigate daily life with dignity and independence. This is more than a job; it’s an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those who need it most.

Responsibilities

Your role will involve delivering both clinical and social care, customised to the specific needs of each individual. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Personal Care and Support: Assisting clients with daily tasks, ensuring their comfort and well-being

  • Challenging Behaviour Support: Managing and responding to challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism

  • Crisis Intervention: Providing critical support during times of crisis, helping clients navigate difficult moments

  • Promoting Independence: Empowering clients to live as independently as possible, building their confidence and skills

  • Medication Support: Ensuring that clients receive their medication safely and on time

  • Specialist Clinical Care: Addressing complex clinical needs with expertise and compassion

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 6 months of professional care experience or experience caring for a loved one in the UK

  • The ability to comfortably assist clients with limited mobility

  • The right to work in the UK

  • A valid driver’s licence and reliable access to a personal vehicle
