Job summary

Keys Group is seeking a compassionate Support Worker in the United Kingdom to assist eight adults with autism and learning disabilities. The role involves day-to-day support, encouraging independence, and helping with personal care and health needs.

Training is provided, and progression opportunities exist within the company. Roles include responsibility for activities, budgeting, shopping, and accompanying to appointments.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a full UK driver's license.
  • Experience in care is not essential as full training is provided.
  • Willingness to work Day and Night shifts including personal care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support to adults living with autism and learning disabilities.
  • Promote independence and help residents lead fulfilling lives.
  • Support and encourage development of personal skills through activities and hobbies.
  • Assist with health care needs, including attendance at routine appointments and administering medication.
  • Teach life skills such as budgeting, paying bills, and shopping.
  • Assist with personal care as required and with domestic tasks like cooking and cleaning.

Many of our Managers and Team Leaders joined us as a Support Worker and through ongoing training and coaching they are continuing to move further up the accomplish ladder into more senior positions

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:

  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
  • Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
  • Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.

Experience within the care sector is not essential as we offer full training, however what you do need is the enthusiasm and commitment to live our company values every day to ensure we move mountains to support people to live happy and healthy lives.
