Job summary

Cartrefi Cymru Co-operative in Swansea is seeking a Female Support Worker to help people with learning disabilities live fulfilled lives in the community. You’ll empower individuals to make choices and participate in activities that foster independence.

No prior experience is required as full training is provided. A driving licence and access to your own car are preferred for transporting people to appointments and activities; sleep-ins are paid separately and travel is reimbursed.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak on behalf of others to a range of professionals.
• Good written skills and the ability to record events with empathy.
• Driving licence is essential for transporting individuals to appointments and activities.
• Own car helpful for transporting people and obtaining business insurance for the vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Actively support individuals in making their own choices and setting goals.
• Assist with daily activities including personal care, meals, and daily routines.
• Facilitate structured activities to build confidence and new skills.
