Job summary

Ark Care Homes is seeking a Support Worker for nights with FT or PT options (1-4 nights per week). You will help younger adults with complex needs to live happy, settled lives within their home environment.

We offer flexible working, guaranteed hours contracts, a full induction programme and ongoing training from day one, plus enhanced pay on Christmas/Boxing Day and Bank Holidays, a pension scheme, and staff discounts. DBS check and two references are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in working in a care home or supporting people with Autism, Learning Disabilities or Mental Health Difficulties is desirable, but not essential.
• A successful DBS application and two references are required.

Responsibilities

• Support younger adults with complex needs and behaviours to live happy and settled within their home environment.
• Work as part of a team with the ability to empathise and adapt to clients' needs.
• Follow care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans to guide daily tasks.
• Participate in training and development opportunities provided by the employer.

Support Worker Role

You will be helping younger adults with complex needs and behaviours which may challenge to be happy and settled within their home environment.

There are care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans in place to help you in your role. An ability to problem solve and think outside the box is always welcomed.

You will be paid Monthly into your bank.

Paid training is provided and support is available at all times.

Bank holidays are paid at a higher rate.
