Job summary

Turning Point is recruiting for a Support Worker to assist people with learning disabilities in Newcastle-under-Lyme. The role involves hands-on care, driving a service vehicle (UK licence required) and promoting independence and dignity.

You will join a values-led team delivering daily support, skills training, personal care and social inclusion, with opportunities for training and career progression within a large, Not-for-Profit organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in support work, ideally in a Learning Disability setting.
• IT and literacy skills required to document and communicate effectively.
• NVQ 2 would be desirable or candidate willing to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Meet the needs of the people we support and assist with daily living tasks.
• Drive the service vehicle; hold a valid UK driving licence.
• Support individuals with daily skills, personal care and social inclusion.
