A leading company in alternative schooling seeks a Support Worker for young adults with special educational needs. The role involves supporting teachers and managing challenging behaviours while fostering academic and emotional growth. Ideal for graduates or those with experience in support settings.
Job Title: Support Worker Learning Disabilities and Mental Health
This is an Alternative Schooling Provision catering to young adults aged 10-19 with various SEN, including Mental Health, Complex Needs, and Autism.
Your role will involve supporting the class teacher, support staff, and multi-agency teams in devising learning and care plans, and encouraging children and young people to reach their full potential.
You will be required to set clear boundaries and manage triggers of challenging behaviour while supporting children academically, emotionally, and socially.
Children at this school have multiple complex and sensory needs. Support workers looking to be trained as Teaching Assistants or Cover Supervisors are encouraged to apply.
