Support Worker

Location: Elgin, Forres, Lossiemouth, Kinloss, Keith, and Buckie areas

Salary: From £14 per hour

The Role

The organisation is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join their team.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need, including seniors and those with specific health conditions. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients through personalised care and assistance.

The organisation provides employees with a travel allowance of up to £200 (for full-time positions), with mileage paid at £0.45 per mile for the first 10,000 miles and £0.35 thereafter, in accordance with HMRC guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide patient care and support to individuals in their homes.
  2. Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  3. Engage in behaviour management techniques to promote positive interactions and wellbeing.
  4. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering trusting relationships.
  5. Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals.
  6. Support clients with dementia care, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  7. Maintain accurate records of care provided and observations made during visits.
Skills and Qualifications
  1. Skills in patient care, meal preparation, and behaviour management are highly desirable.
  2. Must have a valid driving license and access to your own car.
  3. A background in support work or relevant healthcare qualifications is advantageous.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
  5. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
