Job Title: Support Worker (Hostels)

Location: House in the Wells, Derry-Londonderry

Positions Available: Various Permanent/Temporary and Full-Time Contracts. A Reserve List is also available for these posts.

The House in the Wells is a male harm reduction hostel providing support and care for up to 24 homeless men with addiction issues, situated close to the city centre of Derry-Londonderry. It offers 24-hour staff support services, 365 days a year.

Essential Criteria
  1. Completion of a relevant qualification equivalent to QCF level 2 AND at least one year of experience working with homeless individuals or those suffering from addiction issues in a community or residential setting. Previous administration experience (e.g., completing support plans, housing forms) is required. Must be registered with NISCC or achieve registration within 6 months if new to the sector.
  2. OR at least two years of experience working with homeless individuals or those suffering from addiction issues. Same administrative and registration requirements as above.
  3. Ability to demonstrate an adequate level of computer literacy.

This post is subject to a satisfactory Access NI check. All successful applicants must provide evidence of their right to work in the UK. Please note that Apex does not sponsor work visas.
