Job description

JOB ROLE: Support Worker

HOURS: 40 per week

LOCATION: Poole, BH14

SALARY: £12.60 - £13.30* per hour

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join our brand-new supported living service in Hermitage Road.

We believe in the potential of each person we support and enable them to work towards their goals, live more independently, and take control of their lives. We listen and understand what each person would like to achieve in life. We then work closely with them, their family, circle of support, and other professionals to define goals and how we can work together to achieve them.

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day-to-day support and routine of the people within the service, including:

  1. Prompting service users' independence while helping them live a fulfilling life.
  2. Supporting and encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  3. Maintaining and assisting with healthcare needs, including accompanying service users to routine appointments or administering medication.
  4. Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills, and shopping.
  5. Assisting with personal care (depending on service user).
  6. Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.

Experience within the care sector is not essential as we offer full training. However, what you need is enthusiasm and commitment to live our company values every day to ensure we move mountains to support people to live happy and healthy lives.
