Job summary

A leading social care organization in Hengoed is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist adults with various needs. You will provide personal care, support daily activities, and empower individuals to live fulfilled lives. The role offers a competitive pay range of £12.60 - £12.90 per hour with a fixed-term contract, extensive training, and a range of rewards beyond salary.

Location: Hengoed, CF82 8FA

Shifts: Full-time 36 hours per week (Monday to Sunday on a rota basis) 7am - 7pm

Pay Rate: £12.60 - £12.90 per hour (dependent on qualifications)

Please note this is a 12 month fixed term contract

Role Overview
  • You’ll support adults with lots of different needs such as learning disabilities, autism, ABI and mental health
  • You’ll support them to flourish in a place they call home. You’ll empower the people we support to be ambitious and live fulfilled lives
  • You’ll give high-quality support tailored to people’s needs
  • You’ll do activities like cooking, art or listening to music. And get out for movie nights and food outings
  • You’ll provide personal care including support with continence needs; health and medication needs; handling personal possessions; finances and documents; shopping. Help them to have good levels of personal and environmental hygiene
  • You’ll follow our procedures, so we give consistent, safe, and reliable care and support
Key Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Good general education
  • Honesty, reliability, trustworthiness, and a passion to make a difference
  • Commitment to the aims and objectives of the home and of Ivolve
  • Satisfactory Police Check and check against the ISA List (where applicable)
  • A commitment to undertake training and development

Desirable

  • RQF Level 2 or above in social care
  • Previous experience within social care setting
  • Knowledge and commitment regarding Equal Opportunities
  • Knowledge of the regulatory frameworks
  • Confident IT user
