Job summary

Discovery is hiring Support Workers in Castle Cary to help five individuals live active, independent lives in a welcoming home. No prior experience is required; a positive, patient attitude and teamwork are valued as you assist with personal care, mobility, and community activities.

Shifts are 7.5 hours, 7am-2.30pm or 2.30pm-10pm, with flexible patterns and opportunities for training and progression within the organisation.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required for the role.
• Attitude matters—patience, kindness and motivation to help others.
• Able to work well within a team and follow directions.
• Willingness to support people to live well and maintain dignity.

Responsibilities

• Support five individuals to live active, fulfilling lives in a warm home.
• Assist with personal care and mobility, including use of wheelchairs and slings.
• Encourage participation in trips and activities and help maintain independence.
• Record daily routines and communicate with the care team to ensure consistent support.
