Job summary

Heart of England Mencap is recruiting dedicated Support Workers for Rosedale in Shipston-on-Stour. You will help adults with learning disabilities live independently, gain skills and enjoy meaningful activities in a supportive team.

Roles include assisting with personal care, medication, daily living, community access and goal achievement. Training is provided and shifts run across mornings to evenings with a wake night option.

Qualifications

• Previous care or relevant support experience is preferred.
• A caring, positive and reliable approach.
• A willingness to learn and develop.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, wake nights and occasional sleep-ins.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred support.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with learning disabilities to live independently and develop new skills.
• Support customers with personal care where required.
• Prompting and administering medication as needed.
• Assist with daily living skills and promote independence.
• Help customers access the local community and attend social activities.
• Build positive relationships and promote wellbeing; support personal goals.
