Job summary

Ceredigion County Council Direct Payment Support Service in Wales is seeking a supportive care worker to assist young adults with learning disabilities in their daily living. You will provide 1-1 or 2-1 support, promote positive wellbeing, engage with their interests, and help develop community links and life skills.

Personal care may be involved; shifts include days, evenings and waking nights on a rota basis.

Qualifications

• Able to work independently, multitask, organise and prioritise work to suit the people we support.
• Exceptional at building relationships and influencing at all levels, internal and external.
• Ability to execute and deliver, whilst keeping a positive attitude under pressure
• Quick learner, hands-on, willing to be flexible in tasks and activities.
• Flexible - shift will be on a rota basis and can include days/evenings and waking nights when required

Responsibilities

• Currently, we support young adults with learning disabilities.
• You will be supporting 1-1 and at times 2-1.
• Continue to promote positive well-being.
• Participate and be as enthusiastic about their likes and wants as they are.
• Maintain and develop their community links, and access community and leisure pursuits to support their independent living and life skills.
• Personal care may be involved.
