Position: Support Worker for Autistic Girl - Weekends - Leeds

Training will be provided, and contact will be made through Leeds City Council regarding training details.

Hours: 4 hours per week, flexible, during term time and school holidays, totaling 19 hours per week.

Rate of Pay: £11.44 per hour

Requirements: Full UK driving license with business insurance, DBS check prior to starting, two references.

Responsibilities:

• Support daughter with autism and learning disabilities, including personal care and behavioral support.
• Assist with community outings to parks, shops, and other activities.
• Engage in sensory activities like messy play, drawing, and physical activities.
• Support her use of public transport.
• Teach life skills such as road safety, stranger danger, meal prep, and money management.
• Maintain a calm and patient approach, respecting confidentiality.

Additional Information:

• Support involves supporting her routine and activities to help her stay regulated and calm.
• Support hours are mainly on weekends, with flexible scheduling during school holidays.
• Holidays entitle 5.6 weeks of paid leave per year, pro-rata.
