Job description

Support Worker for a 7 year old boy who has autism, he lives in the Bishop Auckland area - Bishop Auckland - DL14

We are looking to employ a Support Worker required to support a 7 year old boy who has autism, GDD learning disability and is non verbal, and who lives in the Bishop Auckland area.
Hours / Wage:

Hours are variable, current hourly rate is £12 per hour.

Hours are usually available in the school holidays, weekends may also be an option.

Bi-weekly 4.5 hours on Saturday from 12.30pm until 5pm.

15-20 hours from 28th July until 8th August.

Duties:

The main role of the worker will be to take the child out to various activities.

He is a happy and active child who likes outdoor play, especially play parks and swings. He also enjoys baking, soft play, trampolining and engaging in activities with disability groups.

We are looking for someone who can provide a positive, caring environment for our son, helping him to stay engaged and enjoy his activities.

Additional Requirements / Information:

Driver with own car essential. Parent will arrange to pay mileage privately.

Experience in dealing with children with autism/learning disability would be preferred.

Enhanced DBS will be required, employer will cover the cost.
